Rik and Marilyn Mitchell -
Innkeepers and owners of
Gentry Creek Inn- have
opened their home in an effort
to help support Gentry Creek
Equine Rescue, Retirement
and Rehabilitation.

The beautiful mountains of
Tennessee provide the
backdrop for Gentry Creek's 100-acre horse rescue and retirement farm
nestled in a lush green valley bordering Cherokee National Forest.
After crossing the bridge over a rushing, clear-water trout stream,
the turn-of-the-century ten bedroom country-Victorian called
Gentry Creek Inn. Each room has its own charm, and atmosphere.
Some feature panoramic views of both horse pastures, and forest, while
others supply the soft sounds of Gentry Creek. Organic gardens, and a
sense of co-living with the surrounding forest is what gives Gentry Creek
Inn its peace and beauty.

Horses can be trailered in and accommodated in a modern twelve-stall
barn. Bedding is provided.
For your riding, hiking or bicycling pleasure, trails from the property lead
into miles of the magical Cherokee National Forest. Horses can also be
trailered to the world-famous Virginia Creeper Trail nearby or the
horse-friendly Mount Rogers or Moses Cone. Please check our Attractions
Page for more details on local events and activities.
Horse rentals can be arranged for hourly or overnights on the Creeper
Trail.
